In 2016, in order to accurately grasp the management needs of the large number of canal gates in the irrigation area, the office begun to plan and establish a management system, including the important gates of the Ministry of Agriculture in a classification system. In conjunction with the office's GIS and MIS systems, it also assigned staff at the workstation to conduct field surveys and accurately fill in basic construction data on gates to establish a back-end database for the watergate electronic inspection system.
