The Daguangming Canal’s main line spans approximately 9,477 meters and includes 13 tunnel sections. One of these sections crosses the Luodong River via an inverted siphon structure with a total length of 453 meters. Due to the aging of the inverted siphon structure at the river crossing, the decision was made to rebuild and upgrade the siphon to ensure flood protection and safeguard farmers' irrigation rights.

In 2023, this office secured funding from the Ministry of Agriculture for the reinforcement and upgrade of the inverted siphon. The project was completed in December 2023. Key features of the project include:

1. Inverted Siphon Installation (approximately 279 meters): Reinforced concrete pipes with a 1-meter diameter were installed, along with reinforced concrete foundations and concrete warning blocks to ensure elevation control and provide erosion warnings.
2. Two Ventilation Shafts: Vertical shafts were installed to facilitate future maintenance work.
